ANACONDA †The county has settled a contract for detention officers, the last outstanding labor agreement for 2007-2008. The county commission will vote next week on whether to adopt the agreement between county and the Anaconda Police Protective Association.
n Jo Ellen Biggers, 58, 405 E. Seventh St., made an initial appearance Wednesday on charges of felony driving under the influence, and misdemeanor operating without liability insurance. She was arrested Feb. 16 after being pulled over on Commercial Street.

They’re coming back to Hamilton. In two weeks, Southwestern A champions Anaconda and runner-up Dillon will come back to Dale Berry Court for the State A tournament after earning the right to represent the southwest during last weekend’s divisional tournament in Hamilton.
ANACONDA †A new proposed agreement would give the county six months to buy the Beaverdam School property. “It’s not an (option to buy) agreement,” Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Chief Executive Rebecca Guay said.
ANACONDA †County Attorney Joan Borneman has made her re-election bid official. Borneman, 54, filed for office last week; she had previously announced her intent to seek re-election.
