Calcutta: Thursday’s card may be without a plum event but the competition is expected to be tough in most of the eight races on the cards. King’s Academy and the Romantic Notes are the two trophy events on the the day.

Calcutta: Four of the nine runners - Sovereign Power, Hugo, Priapus and Oxford Street – are capable of landing the 1,400m Mayor’s Cup, the main attraction in Saturday’s eight-event card.
Calcutta: Rain continued to play spoilsport, forcing the RCTC authorities to truncate Wednesday’s seven-event card after the running of the third race, the Kariba Handicap which was lifted by Silent Hunter.
