John Kennedy O'Connor is an expert in all things Eurovision. He's been following the world s 'greatest' song competition since the 1960s and is such a fan that he's the author of The Eurovision Song Contest: The Official History , which follows the trials and tribulations of the contest since the first competition, when just seven countries competed in 1954.
