Tennessee High senior Sarah Anderson won a two-and-a-half hour match at No. 4 singles to finish off two-time defending Class AAA champion Houston. Anderson won 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5). Other Tennessee singles wins included Megan Buckmaster, Jessica Ratliff and Kimberly Smith.
Xavier University will hold its commencement ceremony today at the UNO Lakefront Arena. The speaker will be broadcast personality Tavis Smiley, who received an honorary degree from Xavier in 2004.
