Betty C. Johnson, 82, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Jersey County to Abraham and Nora (Maupin) Dean.

Wilbur D. Earl went to be with the Lord June 11, 2008. Wilbur was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Detroit, Mich., and was a resident of Pahrump for 13 years. He moved to Port Angeles, Wash., when he was 6, and graduated from high school in Port Angeles in 1933.
OMAHA - The families of two Boy Scouts killed in Wednesday's tornado at the Little Sioux Scout Ranch buried their sons Tuesday morning. Benjamin Ryan Petrzilka and Samuel Zachary Jordan Thomsen, both 13, were remembered as boys becoming young men who were loved by their families.
