It's do-over week. If you got shut out of The Police or the Foo Fighters shows at Red Rocks, you're getting one last shot. The July 22 Police concert goes on sale at 10 a.m. today, $54, $94 and $229. Like last week, pre-sales have been going on all week long. The Foo Fighters' July 15 show goes on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, $45 and $49.50 (Ticketmaster).
As odd as this may seem, the Foo Fighters are one of the few straightforward, contemporary rock bands left that can still pack more than 10,000 folks into an arena, as they did Wednesday at the Target Center.

When the Foo Fighters released a disc of acoustic songs as half of the 2005 two-CD set "In Your Honor," it may have seemed like a side trip away from the group's usual brand of combustible, plugged-in guitar rock. But the disc liberated the group to pursue a more varied scope of music.
Clad in T-shirts and jeans, sporting scraggly hair and facial stubble the Foo Fighters looked like the most comfortable dudes in the room at the Grammy Awards earlier this month.
The Foo Fighters concert at the University of Arkansas, originally scheduled for Jan. 28 in Barnhill Arena, has been rescheduled. The new date is Friday, Feb. 29 at Barnhill. Doors will open at 6 p.m., the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Despite missing out on the prime prizes, the Foos were in great form at the Grammys, picking up awards for best rock album and hard rock performance (amid five nominations) and performing with an orchestra conducted by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.
