The North American anime distributor Viz Media has announced that America's Cartoon Network will run the Blue Dragon fantasy adventure anime series this spring. The anime's American television premiere will follow its April 2007 Japanese broadcast premiere by only a year.

Given the involvement of hotshot RPG superstars like Final Fantasy creators Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu, it should come as no surprise that Lost Odyssey is utterly, utterly traditional.
Lost Odyssey doesn't push any role-playing game boundaries, though that won't come as a shock to anyone familiar with Mistwalker's previous game, Blue Dragon. However, in the case of the developer's newest effort, that isn't always a bad thing.
In their first game, 2007's Xbox 360-exclusive Blue Dragon , Mistwalker delivered a straightforward, backward-thinking Japanese-styled RPG which received both praise and criticism for its slavish devotion to traditional RPG gameplay mechanics.
